St. Anselm has proudly sponsored a softball team in the Williamsburg Softball League in Brooklyn for 11 years. The league itself has called McCarren Park home for 26 years, Evolving from a true beer league into one of the most competitive co-ed leagues in New York City.

This jersey, the latest in our annual Iron Maiden Themed series was designed by Brooklyn based artist and team co-captain Palma Blank, Continuing a tradition of creative, music inspired uniforms the team has become known for. The central artwork draws from the cover of Iron Maiden’s self-titled album, released in 1980, with several custom touches woven in: a nail studded bat, a handle bearing the number 666 and the name “Jeff”. chiseled into the wood, a tribute to a beloved teammate. Look closely and you’ll spot a hidden easter egg: Eddie himself wearing a St. Anselm from the 2016 themed jersey.
